Cambodian PM Aid Reaches 1,300 Flood-Affected Families in Battambang

Battambang Provincial Governor H.E. Sok Lou distributed relief packages from Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet to 1,324 vulnerable and flood-affected families across Rokhak Kiri, Moung Russey, and Kors Krolo districts, as well as Battambang city, on Oct. 15.

The aid was mobilised through the Reserve Food System of Cambodia.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Sok Lou emphasised that the Royal Government of Cambodia—under the leadership of former Prime Minister and current Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and continuing under Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet—consistently prioritises the well-being and livelihoods of citizens in all circumstances.

He urged residents to safeguard their health, with special attention to the elderly and young children, by practicing good hygiene, consuming clean or boiled water, remaining vigilant against poisonous animals and accidental drowning, and taking precautions against dengue fever.

The governor also called on parents to prioritise their children’s education, obey traffic laws, maintain environmental sanitation, and stay clear of illicit drugs.

In addition, H.E. Sok Lou reminded eligible citizens to register for upcoming elections. The voter list review and registration period at the commune/Sangkat level for 2026 runs for 55 days, from Oct. 7 to Nov. 30, 2026. He encouraged registered voters to check their names and update their biometric data accordingly.

Recipients expressed deep gratitude for the Royal Government’s prompt support during these challenging times, noting Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet’s unwavering commitment to addressing the needs and hardships of the Cambodian people.
