Cambodia, Morocco to Foster Bilateral Cooperation


Cambodia and Morocco are committed to foster their friendship ties and cooperation, particularly between their parliaments.

The commitment was made in a meeting between Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly (NA) of Cambodia and Chair of 43rd AIPA and visiting H.E. Rachid Talbi El Alami, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Morocco here in Phnom Penh yesterday afternoon.

H.E. Rachid Talbi El Alami congratulated the Cambodian NA for its successful hosting of the 43rd General Assembly of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), and deeply thanked Samdech Heng Samrin as well as the Cambodian NA for supporting Moroccan parliament as an AIPA observer.

Samdech Heng Samrin accepted H.E. Rachid Talbi El Alami’s invitation to pay a visit to Morocco at an appropriate time.

The Cambodian NA president spoke highly of the visit of H.E. Rachid Talbi El Alami to Cambodia, adding that it is a honour for Cambodia and reflects the resumption of strengthening and expansion of the relations and cooperation between both nations.

He also encouraged the two governments to continue their good collaboration in all sectors, especially in the fields of economy, trade, tourism and education for the interest of both peoples and countries.
