Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Luong Cuong, new President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
“On behalf of the Senate of Cambodia and my own behalf, I am delighted to extend my heartfelt congratulations on your most recent election as President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam by its National Assembly. Your election victory is attributed to your outstanding national leadership, achievements, and strong dedication to your nation and people,” Samdech Techo Hun Sen wrote in his message dated Oct. 21.
“I am highly confident that under your leadership, the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam will continue to thrive and become an upper middle-income country and that it will become a high-income country by 2050 thanks, to a significant extent, to your contribution,” he added.
Furthermore, he underlined, the long historical solidarity, relations, and cooperation founded on mutual respect, trust and commitment between the two countries — Cambodia and Viet Nam — as good brothers, good neighbours, and good partners will be further strengthened and deepened.
“I look forward to working closely with you, the National Assembly, and the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) to advance the best interests of our two peoples and nations and to further contribute to peace, security, and prosperity in the region and beyond,” the senate president said.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen concluded his message with best wishes for H.E. Luong Cuong’s good health, happiness and great success in his noble tasks.
According to Vietnam News Agency (VNA), the 15th-tenure National Assembly elected H.E. Luong Cuong as President of Vietnam for the 2021-2026 term at its ongoing 8th session on Oct. 21.
