PM: Win-Win Policy Leads Cambodia to Unimaginable Development

Cambodia’s experience in the peace process has transformed the country into an unimaginable development, based on the Win-Win policy under the leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, former Prime Minister and current President of the Senate of Cambodia.

Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet made the comments in his keynote address at the official opening ceremony of the 11th Plenary Session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP 11) in Phnom Penh this morning.

The Win-Win policy not only ended the decades-long conflict, but also provided the basis for national reconciliation and long-lasting stability to this day through pragmatic implementation, starting from dialogue and reconciliation.

At the same time, development fruits have been distributed to remote areas across the country, and Cambodia’s economy grew by 7 percent annually before the COVID-19 crisis, not just in terms of book figures, but in real terms, reflected in the increase in people’s living standards and social well-being across the country.

The IPTP is a legislative body of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP) established since 2017 to provide a platform for national parliament members to discuss and cooperate on issues of contemporary world peace. It has members from more than 100 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and North America, and the Cambodian NA joined the network in 2021.

The IPTP’s 11th plenary session expects to launch a Phnom Penh Declaration that adopts the Peace Charter to promote peace, tolerance, and sustainable development through multilateral dialogue and cooperation.
