Cambodia, Thailand Laud Growing Security Cooperation

Cambodia and Thailand have expressed strong appreciation for the positive outcomes of their ongoing cooperation, which continues to benefit both neighbouring nations and their peoples.

This sentiment was highlighted during a meeting in Phnom Penh on April 21, between Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha and Thai Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Tull Traisorat.

The Thai diplomat commended the robust bilateral relations between Cambodia and Thailand, particularly in the area of border cooperation. In turn, H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha praised the collaborative efforts of both countries, especially in preventing and suppressing criminal activities, exchanging and sharing intelligence, combating cross-border crimes, and supporting each other in addressing security challenges along their shared border.

Both sides expressed hope that relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Thailand will continue to strengthen, especially in enhancing law enforcement collaboration, exchanging best practices, and promoting dialogue for the security and development of their border regions.

H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha also conveyed his sincere gratitude to H.E. Tull Traisorat for his dedicated efforts in deepening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across key areas, including border crime prevention, the economy, politics, trade, tourism, national defence, and security.
