Despite the geographical distance between them, Cambodia and Rwanda continue to deepen their friendship and cooperation, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
New areas of collaboration were agreed upon during the official visit of H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to Rwanda yesterday.
During the visit, H.E. Prak Sokhonn held bilateral talks with H.E. Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda. Following their discussion, the two sides signed two important documents: Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Bilateral Consultations between the two Foreign Ministries, and Agreement on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports.
On the same day, H.E. Prak Sokhonn paid a courtesy call on H.E. Justin Nsengiyumva, Prime Minister of Rwanda, in Kigali. The Rwandan Premier warmly welcomed the visit and highly appreciated the growing bilateral ties between the two countries.
H.E. Justin Nsengiyumva stressed that the signing of the MoU on Bilateral Consultations and the Visa Exemption Agreement will further enhance cooperation and deepen the partnership between Cambodia and Rwanda.
In addition to his official visit, H.E. Prak Sokhonn also attended the 46th Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie.
