Ministry Urges for Registration of Mango Farms for Exports

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has urged farmers to register their mango farms for certification to exports.

This was reminded in the ministry’s press release issued recently, adding that the registration of mango farms is also intended to stabilise the price of the fruit which is potentially fluctuating.

The registration will help facilitate farmers to get information and technical training to increase the productivity of standard mangoes, and develop clusters of mango producers for better liaison with both local and international buyers.

According to the ministry, the mango price is dropping as it is the start of harvest season of the fruit in Cambodia and other countries.

To enhance the price of mangoes in the markets, the ministry is negotiating with new markets in Korea, China, Japan and beyond.
