Cambodia, Japan Discuss Military Cooperation


Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) has received the Chief of Staff of the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force to discuss military cooperation.

The meeting between H.E. Gen. Vong Pisen and H.E. Gen. Yoshida Yoshihide took place at the RCAF headquarters on Feb. 15.

General Vong Pisen highlighted the relationship between Cambodia and Japan dating back to 1993 and that Japan has been contributing noticeably to Cambodia’s development.

He encouraged Japan to further support human resource development for Cambodian military in Cambodia for a more intimate bilateral collaboration.

H.E. Gen. Yoshida Yoshihide appreciated the idea and would consider it to further promote Cambodia-Japan military cooperation.
