As of 2022, Cambodian authorities have deported 5,825 undocumented migrants back to their home countries.
The figure was shared by the General Department of Immigration of the Ministry of Interior during its annual meeting held here on Mar. 14 under the presidency of H.E. Sok Phal, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Interior.
H.E. Gen. Keo Vanthan, Spokesperson of the General Department of Immigration, said that the deported migrants were of 42 different nationalities.
Most of them, he added, were Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Malaysian.
