Preah Sihanouk Province Ready for SEA Games 2023


Preah Sihanouk province is ready for the 32nd SEA Games 2023 to be hosted by Cambodia in May, affirmed H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun, the Provincial Governor.

Everything, especially infrastructure, and security and public order, have been well prepared, he underlined.

Preah Sihanouk coastal province will host three kinds of sports including Sailing, Beach Volleyball and Jet Ski, said H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun, stressing that the province is potential for such sports.

Sailing will take place from May 1 to 8, while Beach Volleyball from May 11 to 16 and Jet Ski from May 13 to 16.

Five locations in Cambodia have been prepared to host the games including Phnom Penh capital (the Morodok Techo National Stadium, Olympic National Stadium, and Chroy Changvar International Convention and Exhibition Centre, etc.) and the provinces of Kep, Kampot, Preah Sihanouk and Siem Reap.

This is the first time for Cambodia to host the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games.

A total of 36 sports and a demonstration sport (teqball) have been listed for the 32nd SEA Games and 13 for the 12th ASEAN Para Games.

The 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games will be held from May 5 to 17, 2023 and from June 3 to 9, 2023, respectively under the motto “Sport: Live in Peace”.
