Czech Support for Cambodia’s Labour and Vocational Training Appreciated


Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Ith Samheng appreciated the support of Czech Republic to boost Cambodia’s labour and vocational training.

The mister expressed the appreciation when receiving Director of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic H.E. Petr Gandalovic, and H.E. Martin Vávra, Czech Ambassador to Cambodia on May 15 at the ministry.

H.E. Martin Vávra highlighted the importance of labour and vocational training cooperation between Cambodia and Czech under a joint memorandum of understanding for 2018-2023.

The cooperation contributed significantly to technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Cambodia.

Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Ith Samheng appreciated the support to foster Cambodia’s skilled work force.

Cambodia Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training reaffirmed Cambodia’s welcome to all development partners, especially the Czech Republic, to promote human development.

He also acknowledged Czech scholarship and study tour arrangements enabled for Cambodians.

The two sides were also optimistic of future cooperation and looked forward to working closely together.
