More World Leaders Congratulate Cambodian New PM


Prime Minister of India H.E. Narendra Modi has extended his congratulations to H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet on his assumption of office as the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and pledged to collaborate with him to further deepen the relationship between the two countries.

“Congratulations H.E. Dr. Hun Manet on assuming charge as the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. I look forward to working closely with you for further elevating our friendly historical ties,” he tweeted on Aug. 28.

For his part, H.E. José Ramos-Horta, President of the Timor-Leste spoke highly of H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet’s leadership’s prospects which brings further development and more achievements to Cambodia and the prosperity of Cambodian people.

“I recalled our meeting in October last year in Phnom Penh and I was proud to learn of your visions and expectations for the development of Cambodia and the region. Your intellectual, your military experience as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Army, and your visionary thinking can make a lot of difference to Cambodia and the region,” he wrote in his recent congratulatory letter.

Other world leaders, including those of Bangladesh, Belarus, Brunei Darussalam, China, Cuba, Ghana, Hungary, Japan, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea, Maldives, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Tunisia, Vietnam and so on as well as president of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have also sent their respective congratulatory messages to H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet.
