China will continue to support the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) for the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly, led by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.
The support was reaffirmed by visiting H.E. Liu Jianchao, Director of Liaison Department of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Central Committee, while paying a courtesy call on the Cambodian Premier at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh yesterday afternoon.
The CPC senior official highly appreciated the RGC which has set out a comprehensive Pentagonal Strategy-Phase I with a clear strategy and vision in less than a month of the inauguration of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.
H.E. Liu Jianchao was optimistic of Cambodia’s further development under the leadership of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, a young politician, full of ability, long-term vision and respectable political conscience.
For his part, the Cambodian Prime Minister expressed warm welcome to the visit of H.E. Liu Jianchao in Cambodia, stressing that it reflects the close relations and cooperation between the two ruling political parties – the Cambodian People’s Party and the Communist Party of China– and the two countries.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also thanked the Chinese government and people for their assistance to the development of Cambodia in all domains, particularly for their importance contribution to the success of Cambodia in controlling and containing the COVID-19 spread.
The Cambodian People’s Party under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen will continue to support the One China Policy, he said, emphasising his commitment to promoting closer cooperation between the two countries’ youths, including youth training, Youth House for Cambodia-China Friendship, and other cooperation whose memorandum of understanding (MOU) will be signed in the near future.
