Australia Supports Cambodia in Fight against Transnational Crime

The Australian Government has supported the Cambodian National Police to combat transnational crime which undermines society, the economy and institutions.

Australia and Cambodia have worked together for many years to combat child sex exploitation, money laundering, drug trafficking and other forms of transnational crime, according to the Australian Embassy in Phnom Penh.

Last week, it added, the Australian Federal Police trained Cambodian National Police from different provinces to build critical skills required to combat transnational crime threats.

The training and donated equipment are supported by Australia’s Mekong-Australia Program on Transnational Crime (MAP-TNC program), pointed out the same source.
