Establishing Community Technology Centre in Public High Schools


The Ministries of Post and Telecommunications; and Education, Youth, and Sports have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on “Construction of Community Technology Centres in Public High Schools”.

The MoU was inked by H.E. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, and H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports, in an event in Phnom Penh on Oct. 9.

H.E. Chea Vandeth underlined the importance of the move in order to lay the foundation for digital government, economy, society, and citizens.

The centre, he added, will contribute to firming up the digital education ecology and industry revolution across all sectors in Cambodia.

H.E. Hang Chuon Naron spoke highly of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications’ initiative to establish centres that will further promote digital literacy and skills, integrating digital technology in classrooms, schools, and communities.

The MoU is responsive to the ministry’s goals to develop digital education to achieve high productivity and growth.
