Cambodian PM: Health Is the Main and Key Point of Human’s Potential


Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet said health is the main and key point for human’s potential.

Addressing at the inauguration ceremony to officially put into use Techo Santepheap National Hospital together with the official launch of the 1st program of the 6-point priority policy at Khan Prek Phnov, Phnom Penh this morning, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said health is a determinant of human productivity and ability.

“Health is a determinant of human productivity. When people have health problems, they are only costs, so continuing to invest in the health sector remains a key priority for the Royal Government”, he underlined.

Based on this, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said the establishment of the Techo Santepheap National Hospital is to solve the problems ahead to meet the needs of the people. Because the livelihood and health of the people is the vital issue.

This newly inaugurated hospital is not just for the people of Phnom Penh, but for people all over the country who need treatment here, he stressed.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet continued that human resources are important for the nation. Human resources are the factors that make our nation develop sustainably. And the main factors are fitness and health. If there is ability, there is opportunity, but if health in trouble, then we cannot do anything.

Techo Santepheap National Hospital was built on 7.58 hectares with total 9,496 beds. This is the biggest hospital in Cambodia.
