Cambodian PM and Russian Ambassador Discusses on Investment and Cooperation


Investment and cooperation are the main agenda of discussion between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and Russian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Anatoly Borovik.

During the discussion at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning, H.E. Anatoly Borovik said he will further encourage more Russian companies to invest in Cambodia in the automotive and machinery industries, medical equipment and information technology.

The Russian Ambassador expressed his belief that the Russian-Cambodian friendship will grow stronger and stronger in addition to the existing good cooperation over the past 67 years of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.

The Russian diplomat also thanked Cambodia for its role as an ASEAN-Russia facilitator to further enhance ASEAN-Russia dialogue relations.

In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his warm welcome to H.E. Anatoly Borovik and appreciated this as an opportunity for discussions on Cambodia-Russia bilateral relations and recalled the good cooperation between the two countries from the past to the present.

The Cambodian Prime Minister further said that Cambodia’s foreign policy had not changed, especially the bilateral relations between Cambodia and Russia.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and Russian Ambassador expressed their appreciations over the current and past bilateral relations, particularly the exchange of visits by the two countries’ leaders in both the legislative and the executive bodies and the possibility of Cambodian Senate President’s visit to Russian Federation next year as well security and military cooperation between the two nations were also raised by Cambodian premier and the Russian Ambassador.
