Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, and President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) received a courtesy call on by Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, President of Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. at the CPP headquarters in Phnom Penh this morning.
On the occasion, Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma briefed Samdech Techo Hun Sen on his company’s progress of investment in Cambodia for 12 years, citing that the company is seeking to expanding its investment on renewable energy in Cambodia.
“In the seventh-mandate of the Royal Government, led by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, the company will help promoting and encouraging more major Japanese companies to invest in Cambodia, especially in smart lighting for exports to regional and international markets,” he said.
For his parts, Samdech Techo Hun Sen lauded the progress of Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. for its investment in the country, creating jobs to people and contribute to economic development through product exports.
Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. operates a single factory in the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone, southwest of Phnom Penh International Airport.
According to Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. increased its investment capital in Cambodia from US$23 million to US$600 million in 2022.
