Cambodian NA President Appreciates Enhanced Relationship with Lao PDR


The Cambodian National Assembly (NA) President has appreciated the long-standing traditional and economic relationship with Lao PDR.

The NA President, Samdech Moha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, underlined her appreciation when receiving H.E. Buakeo Phumvongsay, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao PDR to Cambodia, at the NA Palace on Nov. 21.

The good bilateral relations have turned into strategic partnerships for long-term sustainable socio-economic development centred around the best interests of the two countries and peoples, said Samdech Khuon Sudary.

She thanked the Lao ambassador for playing an active role in contributing to the enhanced cooperation.

According to the NA president, bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached US$210 million in 2022, and 35 Cambodian companies are investing in Laos.

H.E. Buakeo Phumvongsay thanked the Cambodian NA president for the appreciation and extended his warm welcome for her visit to Laos for the CLV (Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Vietnam) Summit in the country in December.
