Cambodia, Thailand to Continue Environment Cooperation

Cambodia and Thailand have pledged to continue cooperation on environmental protection and public health.

The pledge was a key discussion in a meeting between H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment, and H.E. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Thai Ambassador to Cambodia, on Feb. 2.

H.E. Eang Sophalleth informed the Thai Ambassador about Cambodia’s air quality monitoring, which allows the country to coordinate with key players and address issues to improve the air quality.

The minister reaffirmed that Cambodia is ready to respond to pollution both on land, in the air, and in the water.

The two sides also exchanged good experiences on the prevention of air pollution and plastic waste in the environment to promote a clean environment not only in the countries but in the region and the world.
