Australia to Foster Online Scamming Cooperation with Cambodia


Australia is determined to further strengthen relations and cooperation with Cambodia, especially on security along the border.

The determination was underscored by H.E. Justin Whyatt, Ambassador of Australia to Cambodia, while paying a courtesy call on Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha at the ministry on Mar. 27.

The cooperation will focus on countering online scams and drug trafficking, as well as technology, economic, and transnational crimes.

H.E. Justin Whyatt also highly commented on the Ministry of Interior for its security measures and support for the cooperation with Australia.

H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha welcomed the cooperation and thanked the Ambassador, the Embassy of Australia to Cambodia, and the Government of Australia for their continuous contribution to Cambodia’s security and development.
