Cambodia, Egypt to Establish Consultation Mechanism to Expand Bilateral Cooperation


The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Arab Republic of Egypt have agreed to work towards establishing a bilateral consultation mechanism between their Ministries of Foreign Affairs to serve as a platform for exploring ways to unlock other potential fields of cooperation.

The agreement was made between H.E. SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and H.E. Ms. Hala Youssef Ahmed Ragab, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Cambodia with residence in Bangkok, during their meeting here on April 25.

The two sides noted with satisfaction the friendship and good cooperation between Cambodia and Egypt since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1953.

They expressed their commitment to further deepening and enhancing bilateral cooperation, sand extending mutual support in the international arena for the common interests of the two nations.
