Cambodia, Laos Satisfied with Bilateral Ties and Vow to Further Promote Bilateral Cooperation


The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) have expressed their satisfaction with the progress of their bilateral relationship and were committed to promoting their cooperation in various areas, including trade and economy, energy, security and defence, infrastructure connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges.

The satisfaction and commitment were emphasised by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and President of the 12th General Assembly of International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), and H.E. Mrs. Pany Yathotou, Vice President of the Lao PDR, during their meeting here at the Peace Palace this afternoon, on the sidelines of the 12th General Assembly of ICAPP.

In the meeting, H.E. Mrs. Pany Yathotou lauded Cambodia’s rapid development in all sectors, which has improved the people’s living standards and enhance the country’s prestige on the international stage. She also praised the Kingdom for the excellent preparation as the host of the 12th ICAPP General Assembly and related meetings.

The visiting Lao vice president thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for always providing support to the Lao government and people in all circumstances.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked H.E. Mrs. Pany Yathotou and her delegation for their participation in the 12th ICAPP General Assembly and related meetings.

The Cambodian Premier firmly believes that relations and cooperation between the two countries will grow and become stronger.
