The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Economic Industry Research Federation is interested in establishing a drone pilot training centre for industrial, agricultural, and emergency use in Cambodia.
The intention was made by the federation’s chairman, Mr. Liang Songshou, in a meeting with H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports in Phnom Penh, on Dec. 18.
H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron supported the intention, considering it a good opportunity for Cambodia and human resources development.
The deputy prime minister recommended the delegation to explore cooperation with universities in Cambodia, such as the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) and the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP).
He shared with his guest an overview of Cambodia’s higher education system, especially in technological and vocational training.
The two sides also discussed the human resources training programme on technology and innovation and the Cambodia-China student exchange and exposure visit.
