Ministry of Education, Mahasarakham University Discuss More Cooperation on Education


The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia and Thailand’s Mahasarakham University have discussed more cooperation in the field of education.

The discussion took place in Phnom Penh on Dec. 23 between H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports and visiting Dr. Sarinthree Udchachone, Assistant to the President for Public Relations and Global Image.

Dr. Sarinthree Udchachone appreciated the Royal Government of Cambodia and the ministry for their good cooperation with Mahasarakham University. She reaffirmed that the Mahasarakham University and the Royal Government of Thailand will continue providing scholarships for Cambodian students both full and partial scholarships.

H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron thanked the Mahasarakham University for always supporting Cambodia’s education sector, recalling that the university has so far provided scholarships for 257 Cambodian students, 220 of whom have returned home, and used their skills to fulfill their respective jobs successfully.

The deputy prime minister spoke highly of the good collaboration between the ministry and the university, particularly the university’s technical support to learning and teaching Thai language in Cambodia.

He hoped that the university will continue to support the development of teaching facilities and training, contributing significantly to enhancing Cambodia’s human resources.
