Cambodia and Vietnam are committed to strengthening good-neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term stability, and increasing mutual trust.
The shared commitment was highlighted during a meeting between Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), and visiting H.E. Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and Head of the CPV’s Commission for External Relations, at the January 7 Palace here this morning.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen extended warm welcome to the visit of H.E. Le Hoai Trung to Cambodia, believing that the visit will contribute to bringing the relations and cooperation between the two parties and countries to a higher level.
Cambodia has maintained the traditional friendship with Vietnam since the previous generation of leaders and will further cherish it, he underlined.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen was convinced that under the correct and bright leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by its General Secretary H.E. To Lam, Vietnam will achieve her goal of becoming a high-income country by 2045.
For his part, H.E. Le Hoai Trung congratulated Cambodia on the great achievements attained under the CPP leadership, and praised Cambodia’s peace, development, improved people’s living standards, and enhanced prestige on the international stage.
