Cambodia will host the ASEAN Regional Disaster Response Exercise 2025 (ARDEX-25) in July.
The information was shared in a meeting at the Office of the Council of Ministers led by H.E. Kun Kim, Cambodian Senior Minister and First Vice President of the National Committee for Disaster Management, on Monday.
The Cambodia National Committee for Disaster Management will lead the exercise in collaboration with the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Centre).
H.E. Kun Kim said that the ARDEX-25 aims to strengthen and expand cooperation between ASEAN and the international community as well as other key players in supporting disaster preparedness and emergency response.
Cambodia participated in the ASEAN Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Exercise (ARDEX-16) in Brunei Darussalam, in Vietnam, ARDEX-18 in Indonesia, and ARDEX-23 in Indonesia.
