Cambodia Committed to Realising ASEAN Community Vision

Cambodia is committed to working with other ASEAN Member States to realise the ASEAN Community Vision to bring about real socio-economic progress for the community as a whole, said Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet at the opening ceremony of the Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit 2025, held here this morning.

The ASEAN region presents a compelling investment landscape, marking by robust economic dynamism and a steadfast commitment to economic partnership and regional integrations, he said in his keynote address at the summit themed “Accelerating ASEAN’s Connectivity: People, Infrastructure, and Trade.”

“As a Member State of ASEAN since 1999, Cambodia is an immensely potential market. Our economic foundation is built on decades of proven high growth,” he underlined.

Cambodian economy grew at over 7 percent annually on average prior to the COVID-19 spread, and firmly on track to return to this momentum with the projected growth of 6.3 percent in 2025 and remain between 6 and 7 percent in the medium term, said the Premier, adding that the strong performance is mainly thanks to the country’s open policy to international trade and investments, offering strategic investment advantages underpinned by political and economic stability.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet emphasised that ASEAN’s successful navigation of the economic partnership landscape is evident in its comprehensive network of free trade agreements with key leading economies.

The common endeavour allows ASEAN to navigate through regional and global economic challenges, added the Prime Minister.
