The commitment was highlighted during a meeting here on Wednesday between H.E. Dr. Eang Sophalleth, Cambodian Minister of Environment and H.E. Ms. Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, Ambassador of Finland to Cambodia.

For his part, H.E. Minister informed his guest of the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Environmental Chakra Strategy focusing on three pillars: Clean, Green and Sustainable, and the success of the ministry’s different campaigns, including “Today, I do not use plastic bags”, “Clean Cambodia, Khmer can do,” and so on, as well as Cambodia’s goal to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

The two sides also discussed exploring technologies to convert cities into carbon-neutral zones and promoting green investment in Cambodia.
