Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister Calls on Youth to Engage in Social Work

Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, this morning called on Cambodian youth to avoid negative activities and instead take part in social work that benefits the community.

Presiding over the official inauguration ceremony of the two-storey Morodok Techo Flyover in Phnom Penh’s Kbal Thnal area, the Premier expressed support for young people who have formed groups dedicated to social service.

“I support this initiative and encourage all our youth to participate in social work—but not in gang-related activities,” he emphasised.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also urged the competent authorities to continue strengthening law enforcement and maintaining public order to deter gang activity.

He reminded the public that a civilized society is not defined by material wealth, but by the dignity of life, mutual respect, morality, and virtue.

“We want our society to be shaped not only by money, but also by strong moral values and virtuous living,” the Prime Minister added.
