Cambodia Hosts Agriculture Forum and Exhibition 2025, Aiming for Sector Growth and Investment

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, H.E. Dith Tina, presided over the opening ceremony of the Cambodia Agriculture Forum and Exhibition 2025 (CAFE 2025), along with a dialogue session involving stakeholders in the agricultural value chain.

The event was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Phnom Penh this morning.

Addressing the attendees, Minister Dith Tina extended a warm welcome and expressed his gratitude to leaders from government ministries and institutions, the private sector, various development partners, and both national and international guests.

The forum aims to facilitate in-depth discussions to understand the strengths and weaknesses of Cambodia’s agricultural sector and to jointly develop plans that connect agro-industry and commerce. The ultimate goal is to foster economic development, increase investment, and attract investors at both regional and global levels.

In his remarks, H.E. Minister highlighted the agricultural sector’s policy focus on ensuring food security, achieving profitability for farmers, improving livelihoods, and promoting the sustainable use of Cambodia’s resources, in line with the vision of “enough to eat, enough to earn, enough to use, and sustainability.” He also expressed high expectations for the active participation of a unified system of stakeholders, believing it will contribute to the growth and development of all sub-sectors within the agricultural economy.

Furthermore, H.E. Dith Tina conveyed his appreciation to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) for its close partnership, as well as to other development partners, all relevant organisations, and friendly governments. He acknowledged their contributions in bringing the forum and exhibition to fruition and in preparing for future major programmes aimed at boosting investment and developing agricultural businesses.
