The 13th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM)/ the 14th Meeting of the Conference of Parties (COP) to the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER) officially kicked off in Phnom Penh this morning.
This event was presided over by Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The meetings will review the progress in strengthening disaster management and humanitarian assistance in the region, and deliberate on ways forward to further enhance disaster resilience, said Senior Minister H.E. Kun Kim, First Vice President of the National Committee for Disaster Management.
The four-day event from Oct. 13-17, 2025 is also focused on other points, including the AADMER Work Programme 2026-2030 and the ASEAN Ministerial Statement on the 20 Years of the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER): ASEAN Vision for Global Leadership in Disaster Resilience, and so on.
