A new landmark for tourism and local craftsmanship, “Khmer Makers Village,” officially opened its doors this week, establishing itself as a premier destination for experiencing the breadth of Cambodia’s cultural and artisanal heritage.
Located at the Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall, the village is designed to showcase the nation’s rich tourism potential and spur the development of high-quality local products.
The inauguration was held on Oct. 19 and significantly highlighted by the attendance of H.E. Hout Hak, Minister of Tourism, and his spouse.
The Minister and his spouse were formally received by the senior leadership of the Chip Mong Group.
More than a conventional marketplace, Khmer Makers Village is an immersive cultural experience. The space is architecturally designed to reflect traditional Khmer aesthetics, arts, and customs, offering visitors a profound sense of place and national identity. Within this vibrant setting, guests can explore a diverse collection of local goods, ranging from fresh agricultural produce and exquisite handicrafts to unique souvenirs and authentic regional cuisines.
To amplify its launch, the project is calling on Cambodia’s vibrant community of tourism content creators, influencers, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to help share the story of Khmer Makers Village. This initiative aims to inspire both domestic and international travellers to discover this new attraction, further solidifying Cambodia’s position as a dynamic and culturally rich destination.
