H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), received here on Nov. 18 a delegation from the China-Asia Economic Development Association for a courtesy call and working discussion.
The delegation was led by Mr. Chen Jun, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the China-Asia Economic Development Association.
The discussion focused primarily on studying the feasibility of strengthening and expanding economic cooperation, trade, and investment relations between the two countries, Cambodia and China, within the framework of the Asian region.
During the meeting, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister extended a warm welcome to the delegation and appreciated their interest in seeking investment opportunities in Cambodia.
He highlighted the extensive investment opportunities in Cambodia under the CDC’s facilitation, which serves as the “Etat-Major” and One-Stop Service of the Royal Government of Cambodia responsible for overseeing and managing development cooperation, private investment, and special economic zones (SEZs).
DPM also highlighted the Agreement between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the United States of America on Reciprocal Trade, which was officially signed on Oct. 26, 2025, and provides clarity for investors.
For his part, Mr. Chen Jun, on behalf of the entire delegation, expressed his sincere gratitude to the H.E. Deputy Prime Minister for granting them the opportunity for this courtesy call and working discussion.
He also demonstrated the Association’s commitment to encouraging and bringing high-potential member companies in technology and various processing industries to study the feasibility and seek investment opportunities in Cambodia.
