H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, has led a delegation to visit two key technology partners of Huawei—Capitalonline and Beijing Electronic Digital and Intelligence (BEDI)—as part of efforts to accelerate Cambodia’s technological transformation and strengthen cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI), the visit on Nov. 18 focused on exploring advanced technologies in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing, with a strong emphasis on opportunities for technology transfer to improve productivity, modernise systems, and enhance governance in both public and private sectors in Cambodia.
During these visits, the delegation was briefed on advanced AI-driven data centres, cloud hosting services, and high-performance computing infrastructure used across sectors such as e-commerce, education, health and manufacturing.
Both companies showcased next-generation capabilities of their AI Data Centers (AIDC)—from large-scale model training to high-efficiency data processing—that could support industries, enhance productivity, strengthen public service delivery, and enable greater innovation.
Minister Vanndy encouraged both companies to explore establishing a presence in Cambodia and invited them to showcase their technological solutions at the 4th National STI Day in March 2026, particularly to help bring practical AI applications closer to Cambodian industries and communities.
