Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak received here on April 30 a delegation of Chinese and American businesspeople led by Mr. Xiao Jie, CEO of Zhejiang Yuhang Holdings Group Co., Ltd., a company that operates several golf clubs in China.
The delegation proposed cooperation and requested support from the Ministry of Tourism for organising an international business meeting alongside a Cambodia-China golf tourism event.
This initiative is seen as a new and high-value business tourism product with luxury characteristics.
During the meeting, H.E. Minister praised the delegation’s initiative which will contribute to attracting more international tourists—especially Chinese citizens—to visit Cambodia.
He also recognised their efforts to support the development of accommodations, hospitality services, food, and the creation of new tourism products.
In addition, H.E. Huot Hak requested the company’s cooperation in countering misinformation about Cambodia that has negatively affected the country, particularly its tourism sector and its international relations.
The minister asked the company to help disseminate the true situation as witnessed firsthand by the delegation, highlighting Cambodia as a country of peace, political stability, security, and social order.
The country is progressing in all sectors and ensures a high level of safety for tourists and investors, including Chinese-American citizens.
