H.E Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), received here on July 29 a delegation of MinebeaMitsumi Inc., led by Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, Chief Executive Officer.
The meeting was also attended by H.E. Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board (CIB) of the CDC, alongside other senior and relevant officials from the CDC.
In the meeting, both sides placed strong emphasis on commending the company’s past business operations and engaged in strategic dialogue regarding plans to further expand MinebeaMitsumi’s investment footprint in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The meeting reflects the close collaborative partnership between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the foreign private sector, particularly major investment corporations from Japan.
H.E. Sun Chanthol welcomed the Japanese manufacturer MinebeaMitsumi’s plan to expand its investment, stressing that it will serve as a vital driving force in propelling Cambodia’s economy toward sustainable development, high-technology integration, and attracting further international investors to the Kingdom, he said.
MinebeaMitsumi is among the Japanese businesses with existing operations in Cambodia. The company specialises in the manufacture of high-precision electronic and mechanical components for various industries, including automotive, industrial, infrastructure, healthcare, robotics, and information technology.
MinebeaMitsumi has operated at the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone since 2011, manufacturing precision motors, ball bearings and specialised electronic components.
The company has also established a second manufacturing facility in Pursat province’s Krakor district, expanding its production capacity and introducing next-generation manufacturing technologies.
