PM Supports the Slogan “Clean Water for All”


Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has announced to support the slogan “Clean Water for All” raised by the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation.

“On behalf of the Royal Government of Cambodia, I would like to announce the support for the slogan proposed by H.E. Cham Prasidh (Senior Minister, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation,” he said here this morning while presiding over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Bakheng Water Treatment Plant and the inauguration ceremony of Chamkar Mon Water Treatment Plant.

“This slogan makes us all think very carefully about activities for clean water for all,” the Premier underlined.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen encouraged the constructor of Bakheng Water Treatment Plant to speed up this project in order to provide access to clean water to all Phnom Penh residents.

According to Samdech Techo Prime Minister, Phnom Penh needs currently 756,000 cubic metres of clean water per day, but the production capacity reached only 600,000 cubic metres per day; and about 40,000 households have been facing water shortage.
