Cambodian PM to Deliver National Speech at 76th UNGA This Weekend


Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will deliver his national speech during the high-level General Debate of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (76th UNGA) under the theme “Building resilience through hope – to recover from COVID-19, rebuild sustainably, respond to the needs of the planet, respects the right of people, and revitalise the United Nations”, on Sept. 25, 2021, in New York.
The information was shared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in a press release issued this afternoon.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister’s remarks will focus on the post COVID-19 socio-economic recovery as the top priority, the continued pressure on international peace and security, and the importance of multilateralism and rules-based international cooperation, it pointed out.
Samdech Techo will also highlight Cambodia’s successfully national vaccination campaign, post COVID-19 economic recovery plans for resilient and sustainable development, efforts to address climate change, and Chairmanships of ASEM13 and ASEAN Summit 2022, the same source concluded.
