Consensus Not Yet Found on ASEAN-U.S. Special Leaders’ Summit Schedule


ASEAN leaders have not yet found consensus on the ASEAN-U.S. Special Leaders’ Summit set for Mar. 28-29 by the U.S., said Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen this morning.

While presiding over the inauguration of Cambodia-China Friendship Thbong Khmum Hospital in Thbong Khmum provincial city, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said some ASEAN leaders had proposed Mar. 26-27, but the U.S. could not make it.

According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Indonesia as the Country Coordinator for ASEAN-U.S. partnership is coordinating for this schedule.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister said as the ASEAN Chair this year, he is free for this important summit, except from mid-May to mid-June as Cambodia is organising the Commune/Sangkat Council Election.
