Two defence vessels of the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF), namely, “URAGA” and “HIRADO” will make a port call at the Sihanoukville Port in Preah Sihanouk province from Mar. 15-17, 2022.
The visit is part of Indo-pacific Middle East Deployment 21 (IMED21), according to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia.
During the port call, it pointed out, JMSDF is planning to visit the Ream Naval Base by a motor launch loaded on the vessels of JMSDF.
“The port call will be a great opportunity to commemorate the 30th anniversary of peacekeeping operation (PKO) in Cambodia,” underlined the same source.
