The General Department of Taxation collected US$512 million as tax income in the first two months of this year, up 22.69 percent compared to the same period last year.
The figures were released in a GDT monthly meeting on Monday, chaired by its Director General H.E. Kong Vibol.
The two-month tax income represents 18.17 percent of the target for 2022, which is US$2,819 million.
In February alone, the tax income was US$244 million.
In 2021, the GDT earned US$2.78 billion, 24 percent higher than the yearly target.
