PM: Youth, Enormously Potential Resource for Innovation and Social Economic Development


Youth is an enormously potential resource for new innovation and social economic development.

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen noted the potential in his public message to cheer the April 26 World Intellectual Property Day 2022.

Young people are considered as the country’s valuable wealth because they have creativity, talent and long-vision to contribute actively to national development, wrote the Prime Minister.

Cambodia observes the World Intellectual Property Day 2022 to embrace youth’s potentials and opportunities indispensable for the country’s social and economic development.

It also provides an opportunity for youth to raise awareness of the law on intellectual property as foundation for their creativities and innovations.

According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodia National Committee for Intellectual Property Management is preparing a policy on intellectual property as a cornerstone to develop economy, trade, industry, culture, tourism and agriculture.

Themed “Intellectual and Youth: New Innovation for Better Future”, the World Intellectual Property Day 2022 highlights main and indispensable roles of the youth in the world in building and developing the country and the world prosperously.

Cambodia became a member of World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) on July 25, 1995. WIPO currently has 193 members countries.
