Cambodia Gymnastics Federation (CGF) will dispatch 18 delegates, coaches, judges and athletes to join the 7th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships scheduled from Sept. 3 to 5, 2022 in Thailand.
Mr. Noy Phanna, Secretary General of CGF, said that the Cambodian gymnasts will depart for the tournament on Aug. 31 and will return home on Sept. 6.
It is very important for the Cambodian gymnasts to attend international competitions like Asian, Southeast Asian and world championships to strengthen their capacity toward the SEA Games 2023 to be hosted by Cambodia, Mr. Noy Phanna continued.
“Our goal is to win medals, no matter gold, silver or bronze medals [from the competition in Thailand],” the secretary general underlined.
The 7th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships will attract the participation of gymnasts from 12 countries.
Cambodia has attended such event twice in Vietnam in 2014 and 2016, winning a bronze medal (2014), and a silver and a bronze medals (2016).
