Minister of Education, Youth and Sports H.E. Hang Chuon Naron has recently shared experience on transforming Cambodia’s education system, at a summit at the UN’s headquarters in New York, USA.
H.E. Hang Chuon Naron underlined the significance of building education partnership with development partners including the national and international organisations to improve the quality of education.
Education ministry has established new generation education schools, and testimonial based policies to transform schools, the minister continued.
The education policy harmonisation, identification of key priorities and using a mechanism of JTWG-Edu (Joint Technical Working Group on Education) are foundation to boost the transformation.
The UN education summit took place from September 17 to 19 under the theme “Philanthropy’s Role in Transforming Education”.
