Chinese Premier to Attend ASEAN Summits in Phnom Penh


Chinese Premier H.E. Li Keqiang will attend the ASEAN Summits and Related Summits to be held in Phnom Penh next week, according to a source from the Chinese Embassy.

“The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Cambodia presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia and has the honour to inform and request the latter on the following press arrangements with regard to the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Li Keqiang from Nov. 8 to 13,” it added.

The detail of his programme during his stay in Cambodia has not been officially released yet, but Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen said H.E. Li Keqiang will also pay an official visit to Cambodia on the occasion.

“I will hold a bilateral talk with H.E. Li Keqiang in the afternoon of Nov. 9,” pointed out Samdech Techo Prime Minister this morning at a graduation ceremony of the University of Law and Economics.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen said H.E. Li Keqiang will be among the Heads of Government/State to pay an official visit to Cambodia prior to the ASEAN summits, including Vietnamese Prime Minister, Sultan of Brunei, etc.
