Construction of Another Road to Phnom Penh International Airport Mulled


Phnom Penh Administration and Ministry of Public Works and Transport are conducting a feasibility study to construct a new road to Phnom Penh International Airport.

The update was made by H.E. Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh, in a meeting with Mr. Cyril Girot, Chief Executive Director of Cambodia Airports here in Phnom Penh on Feb. 13.

The new road will be built along the railway behind the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) in Khan Tuol Kork to the airport.

According to the governor, traffic congestion is an emerging issued faced by the capital.

Once completed, the road will help reduce the traffic jam especially along the Russian Boulevard, he added.

Mr. Cyril Girot appreciated Cambodia’s as well as Phnom Penh’s rapid development and supported the effort to address traffic issue.
