The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has welcomed the confirmed judgement of Meta Platforms Inc. on the integrity of the posts on the official Facebook page of Samdech Akka Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
In its notification issued on Aug. 29, the ministry said Meta Platforms Inc. has turned down the recommendation from its Oversight Board members to temporarily suspend the official Facebook page of Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
For that, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications accepted and welcomed the decision by the parent company of Facebook.
The notification continued that the ministry will welcome future representatives of Meta Platforms Inc. to continue working in Cambodia.
However, underlined the statement, the ministry will not welcome the 22 members of the company’s Oversight Board that gave the politicised recommendation to suspend Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s Facebook page due to their violation of Cambodia’s internal affairs.
