Cambodian Ministry of Civil Service and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) discussed here this morning priority tasks in the field of civil service.
The Cambodian side was led by H.E. Hun Many, Minister of Civil Service, while the UNDP side was headed by its Resident Representative in Cambodia Ms. Alissar Chaker.
H.E. Hun Many spoke highly of UNDP’s important contributions to the development of Cambodia. For the civil service sector, the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the ministry and UNDP has allowed both sides to co-organise a series of training programmes for civil servants.
For her part, the UNDP resident representative welcomed the progress Cambodia attained in all areas and expressed the UNDP’s stance to continue to support the development of Cambodia, while emphasising that UNDP is one of Cambodia’s key development partners through the provision of technical assistance and its various development programmes.
Both sides agreed to continue their cooperation and work together to further enhance the civil service sector through the promotion of innovation in the field as well as take advantage of digital technology to make the work more efficient, responsive and inclusive.
