Cambodia, China Reach 8 Deals to Promote More Cooperation


Cambodian and Chinese senior officials this afternoon signed eight cooperation deals in Beijing, China on the sidelines of the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.
The signing ceremony was held under the witness of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and his Chinese counterpart H.E. Li Qiang.

The signed documents include the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Joint Promotion of the Third Circle Project for Cambodia-China Production Capacity Cooperation and Investment,  the MoU on the Establishment of a Working Mechanism for the Implementation of the Bilateral Cooperation Plan for the Joint Construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, the MoU on Investment Cooperation in Green and Low Carbon Development, the Concessional Loan Agreement for Financing the 8th Phase of Rural Power Transmission Project, the Exchange of Notes for the Feasibility Study of Preah Vihear Rehabilitation Temple Project under a Grant Assistance from the Chinese Government, the MoU on the Establishment of the Cambodia-China Railway Cooperation Mechanism, and the MoU on the Cooperation of the China-Cambodia Industrial Park Construction.

Besides, Cambodia and China also inked the Minutes of the meeting on feasibility study on phase 3 of rural road project’s location under a grant aid from China.
